Family: Diane, wife of 36 years and two daughters, Laurie and Melissa. Laurie is teaching high school English and coaching basketball in California. Her husband Derric is a contractor on the Central Coast. Missy is in Public Relations at the KU Medical School in Kansas City. Her husband Jay is an attorney. Their daughter, Molly was born in 2004.

Military Service: Decorated ( Army Accomodation for Service) Viet Nam Veteran, honorably discharged in May of 1970. Stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, Fort Dix, NJ, Fort Hamilton, NY, Qui Nhon, Viet Nam.
